Business Teacher Opening. Macomb Business Education Teacher Needed!!
There is a full-time business education position open for the 2008-09 school year. Macomb is located in west central Illinois and is home to Western Illinois University.
Macomb High School is a very dynamic working environment with a highly qualified and caring staff. You would also be working with a very energetic principal who has served as our assistant the past two years. Every resource is made available to teachers to help them succeed in the classroom. MHS employs a full-time IT staff on site who address and maintain any technology issues immediately. Your instructional lab would have 30 student workstations that are less than one year old with high-speed Internet access, a laser printer, a new teacher workstation, SmartBoard, and optional Elmo.
Monitoring software is also being installed for the 2008-09 school year.
The likely schedule includes a JH exploratory class 1st hour (which includes a stipend for split-schedule); two sections of Computer Technology (9-week course opposite Driver’s Education required for all students to take); Consumer Education (one-semester course required of all students, mostly grades 11-12); and second semester you would teach Web Design.
Further information can be found at the district website.
